The Blizzard of 2010 has me dreaming of summer. We were without power for 15 hours yesterday and it was far from fun. I do not wish to do it again anytime soon. This week we are going to buy a generator, at least we'll have lights next time. At least we had batteries for the flashlights. This storm took my favorite tree in our yard, it was a big Ever Green, the weight of all the snow was just to much for the top and it fell over. I'm going to miss that tree.

Don't forget to feed the fish, and follow :)

  1. Hi
wow, HUGE storm - which missed us complete here in Connecticut. Although we wont be so lucky come this Wednesday when a significant snow is predicted.

Sorry to hear about that beautiful tree comng down. :-)

ANd the "no power" is dreadful. And here, when the power goes out we have NO water and cannot flush the toilets since the water to do so is pumped in via electricity and our heat is electric!! We have a wood stove for heat though and we keep five gallon containers of water in the bathrooms to fill the tanks as needed. Very unsettling on many levels. eesh...
    Spring is on the horizon.

    Love Gail
    peace......

  3. Can you believe we are going to get another one tomorrow. I don't think you are going to get the snowfall we are a bit inland. We are in the band that is predicted to get 12 -24 more inches. YIKES! So sorry you lost your beautiful tree.

  4. Thanks for your comments :)
I think were going to loose more trees, with so much snow already hear and more to come tonight. Here when the weather man/woman says Wind Advisory it means "your power will go out, be prepared". The hubby is out gathering provisions, I'm cooking to prepare. My inlaws have been w/out power since 4am Saturday, they just got a generator brought down from Philadelphia by a relative, at the tune of 800.00.

  5. I'm sorry to hear of your awful weather problems. I can't imagine. I thought we had it bad in Essex recently, but nothing compared to your storms.I hope they pass real soon. Roll on the sunshine and easy days.
